I kept thinking I would show y'all the new house when I got everything hung up and put together. Well...it's been five weeks and it's clear it will be sometime down the road before I manage to get everything the way I want it.
So many of you have asked and emailed to see what it looks like, so for everyone that can't drop by and have a cup of coffee (although, if you can, you should!) this is the imperfect, unfinished house tour!
Also, I'm going to source a few of the things we get asked about the most. I'm actually not much of a house-decorator type, but even the fumbliest of us get things right sometimes!
We affectionately call this balcony/loft space our library. We didn't want to waste this space even though it is essential just a large square hallway so we had shelves built up to the ceilings on both walls and I put a rug down on the floor, it operates as a cozy ready space, a great place to grab a game or a puzzle, and a little getaway when things get too crowded and loud downstairs.
The girls had all sorts of random ideas for how they wanted their room to look from rainbow to fairies, to cactus. So, I went with all of them. Random for the win.
My amazing sister-in-law drew those mountains right before she left and together with Russ we all painted them! The boys, as usual, had a much clearer vision of what they wanted.
This is our little guest bedroom that has already been used a few times in the last few weeks. I'm so glad we were able to make a little extra space.
