Well, it's still February. All I can say about that is: I'm better at February than I used to be, but I still have a long way to go. This week has been all about trying to desperately manage my instinct to hibernate and actually get up and do something. Thank goodness for leftover burritos.
A few links for you week:
ShibSibs: Our Mom: If you follow my Insta Stories at all, you already know my kids latched on to the Shibutani Siblings. It makes sense, the primary relationships in their life right now are their siblings. Me? I just enjoy any opportunity for an Olympics bawl fest. Your welcome.
Risk Takers and Dream Makers: "Sometimes get so stuck on our hearts that we forget to move our feet." You may recognize Tabitha Panariso's name from this week's Love Story. I wasn't kidding when I said kind and firm.
Slow Burn: For years when people have said, "I hate politics" I have bobbed my head up and down in fervent agreement. I actually think I thought that was true. And while I don't agree with most of what I see in politics, I'm actually pretty obsessed with the history of it and the ideas behind it all. Enter Slow Burn. Somewhere in that one paragraph in my history textbook I missed that the Watergate scandal spanned two years and even included Nixon's re-election. What?!?!?! So interesting.
The Road Back to You- Michael Wear: In the throws of my Enneagram deep dive, and coming to terms with my feelings about politics, (that's a lot of revelation in one week.) I found this podcast. Hear me when I tell you it is THE SINGLE MOST CONVICTING AND ENCOURAGING podcast I've heard in while.
I'll just drop this quote and then drop the mic: "People don't talk about politics because they invest too much of their identity in their political views and they don't want to talk about religion because they know that they don't invest enough in spiritual things."
Favorite Instagram this week: (Since we're talking about our ShibSibs fixation.)
