Hallelujah! Glory! It rained.
Listen, I feel like a little old lady every week when I sit down to write this down and I always need to start with the weather. But my cousin mentioned yesterday that if you haven't lived in a long drought, you have no idea how spiritual it feels to experience rain.
Also we gave up on "school" this week. (Don't panic, they're still learning.) It was glorious and exactly the right move. So I finally felt like we had a chill week for the first time in a long time.
The goodness for your weekend:
Mapping my weeks: My current productivity hack: Y'all, I've gotten into a productivity rut. I have so much to do that I glance over at it, sigh, and go for a walk. I'm going to be trying this out this week to help get me going again!
What Parenting is Really Like: As a mom who regularly writes Haikus to describe the day to day of motherhood, this made me laugh out loud.
4 Hymn Tea Towels: It's still technically my birthday month. If someone wanted to grab a set of these beautiful towels for me, I wouldn't be mad about it.
When You Just Quietly & Deeply Need to Heal: If you've been following my Insta, or even from the last couple of posts around here, you can probably tell I've been in a season of struggle. That's just a thing that happens. So this post made me cry and also helped me get out of bed and move.
Four: Listen, for any of you who have jumped on the Enneagram bandwagon, this is an amazing project. Sleeping At Last is making songs for each number on the Enneagram and four came out this week. I cried. (Fine, crying was a theme this week.) Lyrics like this:
I’m turning out the lights
To remember how to see
Until a renaissance takes place
And resuscitates the color of paint and divinity
