How has your first whole week of 2019 been this year?
I sort of loved having a full five post-holiday days to savor. I spent a little time getting prepped for heading back to real life, a decent amount of time going for walks and hikes, and a ton of time reading/watching/cuddling. Time well spent.
I’m particularly fond of this week’s links and I think you will be too!
Dear Strong Willed Child, You’re Worth It: I may or may not have cried. I probably cried…Fine, I definitely cried.
Try This for a Deeper Connection: Y’all my friend Alisa is so good at loving the lord with her heart, head and hands and the best part is that she helps me to do that too. I love the idea of trying this!
Delighting in You Own Reading Life: Anne Bogel and Sarah MacKenzie teaming up to talk about favorite reads? It’s the dream team, and I basically have my whole 2019 reading list now. I’m linking you to the episode on the website because that’s where the link to all the books are, but you can listen to it in your podcast app too!
Malcolm Guite’s Epiphany: If you are of the liturgical persuasion (which I am in my heart despite being completely evangelical in community) than you know that today is Epiphany and I feel like this poem hits the mark.
How Bible Genealogies Preach the Good News: In case you are committed to reading the Bible this year, you need to be prepared. Actually, you have probably already come across a few.
