Hey Brother Bear, Okay, okay so I'm two weeks late on this note. I'm sorry! But a couple of weeks ago, you turned six years old. It seems so big, like you turned some invisible corner and you started developing habit that resemble a big kid more than a little kid.
Maybe it is because you started school. Sure, we are mostly just doing it at home, but I've never seen anyone in my life enter in to something with such gusto. You love to learn. You love to write. You love to memorize all your books and then sit your brothers and sisters down on the couch and read to them.
You really are the best big brother. Natural leadership pours out of you, and even when you stumble and lead astray, you are always willing to admit your mistake and march right back the other way. Ava and Jane adore you. Eli and Lily pester you. But you love and lead them all the same.
It is so much fun to watch you grow into a big boy. You have strong opinions about the way things should be. You are majorly a perfectionist and I would tell you to let go, but I doubt it would do any good. It's how God made you. So instead I'll tell you this: God made you good. Ever fiber and every action is watched over by our God and even the wrinkles and creases that make you crazy are dearly loved.
Alex we are praying daily for you and with you.
I love you to the moon and back,
