So here is the thing. Mercy does endure forever, and when I go through the Psalms and I see them declaring His mercy after all THE BIG STUFF. The Red Sea, The Manna, Jericho...all the classics. And that is awesome!
However I find that, like them, it's really easy for me to thank the Lord, to trust his mercy and grace, in THE BIG STUFF. However I sometimes forget to give thanks to the Lord for the little stuff. Like record highs in February and the ability to walk to work.
I once heard Beth Moore say that God can change lives, but also don't forget that God can change your day. When I wake up with a headache and Lily is a little cranky, sometimes I forget to ask God to change my day, or at the very least change the way I handle it. It's so easy for me to hit my knees in prayer when the money is running out or someone is in the hospital, but I seem to forget to ask for patience at work in a tough moment.
But This...This Statement is NOT conditional on how big the circumstance:
"Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." 1Ch 16:34
