I am staying at a youth hostel. If you don't know what that is you should look it up immediately. Now I know that the name sounds scary, but as long as your in a good one they can be a wonderful place to be. The staff is more than willing to help you out and give you free tour information (anything free in a tourist town here is good). Plus the best part you meet so many wonderful people.
My roomates are from Belgium and Italy and though our conversations are slow (really slow!) it's cool to hear about what other people are doing.
Okay so you have a community bathroom and tiny bunkbeds, you have to walk up three flights of stairs to get anywhere, and the coffee they have is less than fabulous...it still a great place to get to know a city and meet new friends.
I'm so thankful I came here and had this experience...just a few more hours of Paris and I'll be home in time for the game Saturday!!!!!!
