T-minus seven days till we're back up North and so it begins. The Lubbock nostalgia. We have a very special treat here in my Lubbock hood. In fact I can hear it right now! The delicate tinkling of bell like music comming down the street...
It's the Ice Cream Man!
Yes I know its 8:00 AM and its pouring ran. Does that stop these ice cream ambassadors in our neighborhood. Absolutely not. Not rain, Nor sleet, Nor snow, Nor ice would stop them. They start aroun 6:30 AM and continue well into 10:00PM because we wouldn't want our area children to be deprived the opportunity to dart out into the street several times a day to spend hard earned money on refined sweets!
Ohhhh they are so wonderful! They come in all shapes and sized, they play all different songs. We have a bicycle ice cream man, a truck with flames painted on the side and one that only play's 'Do You Ears Hang Low,' over and over and over again...
Did I mention they pass by Several times a day?
I love ice cream delivered to my door as much as the next person, but with such market saturation it doesn't seem like pushing popsicles would be a very profitable venture which leads me to wonder,
"Is that all they're pushing..?"
